About this showcase

I've designed this website as a display gallery for my vast collection of photos in my cadet years - from 2005 onwards. This 'showcase', as I've called it, displays the all the outstanding highlights of my cadet career and more, from company level all the way to national cadet competitions, from unit training evenings to bush bivouacs.

What started off as a hobby project has become this showcase site. Hopefully as a viewer you will enjoy this ever-expanding resource as much as I have.

About the site author

CDTSSGT Yeung has been an enthusiastic Australian Army Cadet since joining 206 ACU in 2005. He represented NSW AAC BDE in the 2008 National Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge. He has served as Unit Company Quarter-Master Sergeant for two years; his current unit position is recruit training in 3 Platoon, as the Platoon Sergeant. He has been a instructor on both NSW Promotions Courses and Battalion courses. Recently he participated on the 2009 International Army Cadet Exchange to the Cayman Islands.

CDTSSGT Yeung takes an interest in computer-related technologies such as web design and multimedia. He designed this site by hand, in a text editor. In 2008 he was presented the Minister's Award for Excellence in Student Achievement (Languages Division), and in 2009 he was a national grand finalist in the UNSW ProgComp Challenge. He currently attends North Sydney Boys High School.

28 June 2009: Major Update [v1.1 release]

• Majority of pages' backgrounds changed; these are now much more interesting than the original black background.
• Home page javascript background changing feature added.
• Firefox float errors on Home page fixed. Removed js redirect for Firefox browsers.
• Firefox float errors on New Recruits page (concerning the video player) also fixed.
• New page created: Gallery called '206 ACU Kittyhawk tour'; new link from military activites page.

14 August 2009: Minor Update [v1.1.1 release]

• Javascript fade feature added to homepage (currently IE only)
• All pages' backgrounds standardised (Collage background)
• "Site Map" page upgraded with graphics
• Of course, more photos

14 September 2009: Major Update [v1.2 release]

• Javascript main image slideshow [all browser compatible]
• All home page thumbnails updated
• Javascript fixes for rendering differences in FireFox
• Removed some useless javascript features
• New page: 'Senior Cadet Boating Course'; also created link to Kittyhawk page from home page
